Q: How do I remove waterproof make-up?
A: The removal of waterproof make-up has to be done with a make-up remover designed specifically to remove waterproof make-up.
Q: Is it possible to be provided with a list of ingredients for a product?
A: It is required by European law that all cosmetic products must be labeled with an ingredient (INCI) list. Some products might have limited writing space. In this case the INCI will be on the back of a removable barcode label. If you need additional information please contact us per e-mail at info@goshireland.com
Q: Is it safe to use cosmetics?
A: Some people might occasionally encounter adverse or unwanted side-effects when using cosmetics. The most common side-effects can be a mild allergic reaction. Sharing make-up can also lead to eye infection since cosmetic applicators might carry bacteria from the skin.
Sleeping while wearing eye make-up can cause problems too. If mascara flakes into your eyes while you sleep, you might wake up with itching or bloodshot eyes. GOSH COPENHAGEN recommend to remove all make-up before bedtime.
Q: What are hypoallergenic cosmetics?
A: The term “hypoallergenic cosmetics” is neither a legal nor a scientific term, but represents products that manufacturers claim will cause fewer allergic reactions than other products. Women with sensitive skin may think these products will be gentler. However, there are no standards for using the term hypoallergenic. The term can in fact mean whatever a company wants it to mean.
Q: What does “SPF” really mean?
A: SPF, or Sun Protection Factor, is a measurement of a products ability to screen the sun from UV rays. A rough estimate says that if your skin would normally burn after 10 minutes in the sun a SPF 15 sunscreen will theoretically allow you to stay in the sun for 150 minutes (i.e. 10 minutes x 15 factor). Please keep in mind that SPF 50 does not prevent burns 2/3 times longer than a SPF 30, and does in fact only block about 1% more UV radiation than SPF 30.
Q: What is the shelf life of cosmetic products?
A: GOSH Cosmetics does not use animals to test any of our products or ingredients. Neither do we commission others to perform animal tests. Moreover it is prohibited by European law to test cosmetic products or ingredients on animals.
Q: Why has my favourite product been discontinued?
A: Products are often discontinued due to consumer preferences and purchasing patterns. GOSH COPENHAGEN regularly launches new and improved products in order for you to find a new favourite product.
